Blade root

The blade root is the point at which the blade is retained in the blade grip.
Wooden blades will typically have plastic root reinforcements that should be stuck to the wood of the blade with epoxy, after first cutting back any plastic blade covering. Generally nobody bothers to do this on blades for 450-sized and smaller helicopters.
