A material formed from long chain carbon molecules held in an epoxy resin base, similar to fiberglass.
Carbon fibre can refer to:
- Pultruded carbon fiber (commonly used in rods and tubes).
- Woven carbon fibre cloth, formed into sheets, or molded such as for rotor blades.
Carbon fiber parts are slighly stronger and lighter than fibreglass parts, but are conductive, which can interfere with radio equipment, either by blocking the signal, or in some cases through static discharge.
