Frame rate

Frame rate is the frequency with which position updates are sent from the transmitter to the receiver, or from the receiver to the servos.

Typical PPM radios and analog servos have a frame length of 22.5ms, giving a maximum frame rate of about 45Hz (45 times a second). Digital servos are able to cope with much higher frame rates, as produced by gyros or other onboard electronics.
