Fuel magnet

From RC Helicopter Wiki

A fuel magnet is a clunk designed to provide more reliable delivery of fuel to the engine. It consists of a foam or otherwise convoluted sheath that captures fuel by capillary action and helps prevent the clunk line picking up air.

Foam fuel magnets can be destroyed by prolonged exposure to nitro exhaust gases; therefore if exhaust pressurization of the fuel system is used, the tank should be refilled (and then drained again, if desired) immediately after flight.
