Radd's school of rotary flight

Radd's school of rotary flight is a well regarded process for learning to fly model helicopters, without simulators, and with any luck without crashing, either.

It essentially consists of understanding the helicopter's control responses with it on the ground, then by making longer and longer airborne 'hops' gradually working up to a stable to a tail in hover, before progressing into nose in and side on hovers and forward flight.
